The U.S. military conducted its first-ever combat sea drone strike on July 12, hitting the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas — and NATO's top transformation commander says the tactic is coming to allied forces.

French Adm. Pierre Vandier, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, said the strike shows the alliance must now standardize sea drone operations across member navies.
