Fundamental Rights (Part III of the Constitution)
🇮🇳 Fundamental Rights are the basic rights guaranteed by the Constitution to protect the liberty, dignity, and equality of individuals. These rights act as a shield against arbitrary actions of the State and are enforceable by courts. The Constitution provides 6 Fundamental Rights: ✅ Right to Equality (Articles 14–18) ✅ Right to Freedom (Articles 19–22) ✅ Right against Exploitation (Articles 23–24) ✅ Right to Freedom of Religion (Articles 25–28) ✅ Cultural & Educational Rights (Articles 29–30) ✅ Right to Constitutional Remedies (Article 32) These rights are contained in Part III of the Constitution and are called 'justiciable', meaning if they are violated, a person can directly approach the High Court (Article 226) or Supreme Court (Article 32). 🧠 Mnemonic Every Friend Really Cares Right 🔹 E – Equality 🔹 F – Freedom 🔹 R – Religion 🔹 C – Cultural & Educational Rights 🔹 R – Remedies (Right against Exploitation comes before Religion—remember it separately as "Exploitation Stops Freedom.")
