Перформанс президента Токаева в Омске придает дополнительный контекст закулисным переговорам вокруг СВО на Украине и участию в них постсоветских лидеров, включая президента Беларуси Лукашенко и президента Азербайджана Алиева.

Токаев выступил как де-факто пострадавшая сторона, теряющая доходы в связи с ситуацией вокруг экспорта и импорта нефтепродуктов. Однако тут важно другое: Казахстан сегодня — один из ключевых партнеров РФ в сфере экономики, и его слова не могут пройти мимо ушей российского лидера, они обязательно заставят его задуматься. На это и расчет тех групп влияния на международном уровне и внутри России, которым выступление Токаева выгодно.

Заметьте: Лукашенко, Токаев и Алиев почти синхронно выступают против эскалации. То есть, президент России получает контраргументы по данной теме как минимум на уровне лидеров постсоветских стран, что куда эффективнее с точки зрения донесения информации, чем если бы ему о таких раскладах говорил кто-то внутри РФ. Запад через эти страны пытается склонить РФ пойти на переговоры и заморозить боевые действия. Делает это через те немногие страны бывшего СССР, с которыми еще сохранилась тесная кооперация, и лидеры которых обладают авторитетом в Кремле.

Еще важнее другой момент: информационное сопровождение высказываний Токаева. Ни одно федеральное СМИ или телеканал не упустили возможность показать его выступление целиком. И если в 2022 году на ПМЭФ слова Токаева о ДНР, ЛНР, Абхазии и Осетии были подвергнуты жесткой критике, то в этот раз никакой критики нет. Ни один значимый пропагандист не осудил слова Токаева, что говорит об определенных рефлексиях внутри российских элит.

Выступление Токаева не привело к революции сознания, но сам контекст выступления и реакция на него в РФ свидетельствуют об определенном сдвиге у мах элит, осознании ими рисков эскалации и сохраняющейся надежде договориться. Эта самая надежда звучит из уст Пескова, Лаврова, которые буквально каждый день отрицают выветривание «Духа Анкориджа». Кремль не хочет идти на эскалацию, но осознает ее неотвратимость. Иначе «похабный мир» и полное обнуление мировой репутации России на долгие годы вперед.

How social media is being banned around the world

Just a couple of years ago, only one country wanted to ban social media for children. Now it's 25.

Australia has banned social media for anyone under 16. The UK is introducing its ban starting in 2027, with France, Spain, and Turkey following.

The justification is the same everywhere: protecting children. It's also a message that tends to resonate with the public, making these laws much easier to pass.

Infinite scroll, autoplay, push notifications — all of these are now increasingly being treated as addictive design features. In other words, social media is starting to be regulated much like cigarettes or gambling.

The problem is, bans by themselves don't actually work.

The only way to reliably keep kids off these platforms is to verify everyone's age — using government ID, banking information, or biometrics.

In other words, if governments want to keep teenagers off apps like TikTok, they also have to eliminate anonymity for adults. That's exactly what many of these countries are now discussing. The UK has already started putting this into practice.

So the global trend looks like this: phase out online anonymity under the banner of protecting children. Want to use the internet? Be prepared to submit your personal information and verify your identity.
