Over the past several months, our team has been working on a major technical update for Sl8. It includes a new platform architecture, an updated web version, and changes to how media content is handled. A significant part of the system has been rebuilt, while the web version has effectively been rewritten from the ground up.
We have moved Sl8 to a new architecture and introduced a multi-region system for storing and delivering content. Photos and videos will now be delivered through servers located closer to each user. For example, users in Europe and Asia will receive media content from the corresponding regional storage locations. This should reduce loading times for photos and videos, minimize delays, and improve the performance of Sl8 across different regions.
The updated web version will include a complete analytics dashboard with charts. It will allow users to track their earnings in USDC and SSLX including referral earnings, view the most popular Layers, and analyze the activity of the most active users in a clear visual format. (The dashboard statistics will begin to be generated once this feature is launched. Data from previous periods will not be displayed. )
Sl8 is also introducing an automated content recognition and moderation system. Sensitive content categorized as 18+/NSFW will automatically receive the appropriate label and be hidden in the feed.
At the same time, the team is working on new features that will later become available in both the Sl8 app and the web version.
1. Mass DMs and automated messages Users will be able to create automated message sequences for new subscribers and set up mass messages for their fan base. This will make it possible to notify audiences about new publications and other important updates without having to send each message individually.
2. Cloud storage for media files Sl8 will introduce cloud storage with a dedicated gallery for photos and videos. Media files will be organized into albums, making them easier to find and add to new publications or chats without uploading them from the device again.
Future updates will also include changes to chats, comments under publications, and other content-related features. We will provide separate announcements as each new feature becomes available.
