✍️ Arsenal exploring Vinicius Jr move with interest approved internally
Arsenal are considering a move for Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior if the Brazilian fails to agree a new contract in Madrid, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein. The interest has been "approved at all levels" within the club, though no direct talks with Real Madrid have taken place and a deal is far from guaranteed.
Vinicius, 26, has 12 months left on his current deal at the Bernabeu. Madrid have offered him €20m per year net, but he is reportedly seeking €30m — around €550,000 per week — with no breakthrough reached so far. Real Madrid are expected to resume contract talks when the forward returns to training. Liverpool have reportedly turned down the opportunity to pursue him.
The Brazilian scored four goals at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and has registered 128 goals and 100 assists in 375 appearances for Madrid. Arsenal have also been linked with Julián Álvarez and Bruno Guimarães this summer.
