🚀 Five Sci-fi Games Of 2026 Worth Checking Out
Our roundup includes underwater survival, a lunar base run by hostile AI, an anime RPG with factory-building, and one atmospheric indie metroidvania. Some of these games are still in early access.
1️⃣ Subnautica 2, survival in the ocean of an alien planet. One of the biggest sci-fi hits of the first half of 2026. Players once again find themselves in the ocean of an alien world, where they need to explore biomes, build a base, gather resources, and figure out what happened to the colony. Co-op has been added, so now you can share your fear of the deep with friends.
2️⃣ PRAGMATA, the Moon, robots, and hostile AI. Capcom’s long-awaited sci-fi game finally launched after several years of delays. The story takes place on a lunar station taken over by AI, where astronaut Hugh and the android Diana are trying to escape. The core mechanic combines shooting and hacking: one character fights while the other helps break into systems and weaken enemies.
3️⃣ Arknights: Endfield, an anime RPG where you can build factories. It combines a combat system with bases, resource gathering, and production chains. Players can assemble a squad, complete missions, and at the same time build what is essentially a mini factory sim inside an RPG. That’s why the game is being talked about not only by anime game fans, but also by fans of Satisfactory and Factorio.
4️⃣ StarRupture, survival, factories, and alien monsters. Players gather resources, create production lines, expand infrastructure, and defend themselves from the local fauna. You can play solo or in co-op: one player builds, another explores, and a third fends off monsters.
5️⃣ MIO: Memories in Orbit, indie atmosphere aboard a massive ship. You play as the android MIO inside a huge technological ark, where the machines have gone out of control and the ship itself feels like a living labyrinth.
