GRAM, не спеши

Открывал тут позицию на рост GRAM, и она полностью себя оправдала.

После листинга GRAM на Binance и Hyperliquid цена выросла до $1.7. На этом уровне я зафиксировал прибыль и открыл шорт.

Лично я пока не жду сильного продолжения роста. Новые листинги часто привлекают алгоритмических трейдеров, которые заходят в пары с пустым стаканом. Иногда этого уже достаточно, чтобы спровоцировать резкое движение вверх без каких-либо фундаментальных причин.

Даже если Дуров выпустит пост про новый этап MTONGA, я не уверен, что там будет что-то, что утащит цену GRAM выше $2.

Внимание ретейла все равно сейчас приковано к Solana. Она уже выросла на 30% к биткоину с начала лета и продолжает ускоряться.

💀 Telegram intern takes on memecoins

⚫️ A few days ago, the Telegram intern behind the messenger’s X account posted his personal TON wallet. Users almost immediately started sending him memecoins, and someone even launched a token in his honor. Imagine their surprise when, just a few days later, almost all of those coins were sold.

⚫️ This is not the first time something like this has happened in crypto. For years, the industry has had a strange little tradition: once a public figure’s wallet becomes known, people start sending tokens to it. Most of the time, the goal is to later write in the project description: “Look, this well-known person holds our token.” The recipient, of course, usually never asked for any of it.

⚫️ The most prominent example is Vitalik Buterin. During Ethereum’s memecoin boom, people sent him tokens en masse, hoping to use his name as part of their marketing. After a while, Vitalik started getting rid of those tokens: he burned some and donated others to charity. Holders were unhappy, but he later made a fair point: he had never asked to become part of anyone else’s project.

⚫️ The Telegram intern story comes with a different context. Technically, he also never asked anyone to send him tokens, but after MTONGA, it lands differently. Telegram has become TON’s new hope for a revival, and people close to the brand now carry extra weight. That makes the memecoin sell-off look especially bad. What adds even more fuel to the fire is that most of the coins were swapped not into native GRAM, but into USDT.

🖊We have little doubt that things like this do not go unnoticed by Pavel Durov. Still, we want to believe this was not a deliberate signal to the ecosystem, but simply a bad call. The intern has already tried to smooth things over by launching a meme contest with a 100 USDT prize.

What actually protected wealth past crises

A lot of people ask the same question: where should you move your money when the economy becomes unstable? Some believe in gold, others trust the U.S. dollar, and some put their faith in Bitcoin.

The reality is, there’s no universal answer. Every crisis is different, and what works in one may fail in the next.

A recent example: during the 2008 financial crisis, U.S. dollars and U.S. Treasury bonds were among the safest places to be. But in 2022, Treasury bonds fell right alongside stocks.

A lot can change in just a few years.

But there’s one thing that almost every crisis has in common 👇

During periods of extreme uncertainty, almost everything tends to fall. In March 2020, gold dropped about 15%, while Bitcoin plunged roughly 50%. Investors sold whatever they could to raise cash.

That leads to a few practical rules:

1️⃣ Keep part of your portfolio liquid.

Real estate can protect against inflation, but you can’t sell a property overnight. You need assets you can access quickly — not only to cover unexpected expenses, but also to buy quality investments after prices have dropped and the recovery begins.

2️⃣ Diversify across more than just asset classes. Diversify across countries and markets too.

U.S. stocks, international markets, crypto, gold — each behaves differently during a crisis.

And most importantly, remember this: the biggest problem during a crisis usually isn’t choosing the wrong investment. It’s being forced to sell the right one at the worst possible time. That’s why keeping part of your money in cash or different currencies across multiple accounts is an important part of any resilient strategy.
