Strategy finally sold Bitcoin
For years, Strategy has been buying Bitcoin with money raised from investors, promising them regular payouts.
Roughly speaking, it's similar to bonds: you lend money to the company, and in return you receive a fixed payment in U.S. dollars every quarter.
This week, one of those payments came due, but the company didn't have enough cash on hand. For the first time, it sold part of its Bitcoin holdings — 3,588 BTC, for about $216 million.
Technically, that's just 0.4% of its total Bitcoin holdings, which isn't much. However, the company's payment obligations continue to grow.
And if the company ultimately changes its approach and begins selling off its Bitcoin holdings, it could easily become the trigger for a deep correction in the crypto market.
For context, a sale of $200 million was enough to trigger a 2.5% decline. At the moment, the company still holds about $53 billion worth of Bitcoin on its balance sheet.
🏦 Around one-third of the world's largest banks are now working with Bitcoin and digital assets.
Current adoption is estimated at 32%, highlighting how quickly crypto is becoming part of mainstream financial infrastructure.
👉 Just a few years ago, most major banks dismissed digital assets. Today, they're building custody services, trading desks, tokenization platforms, and stablecoin initiatives.

TON. Блокчейн не выдержал нагрузки в районе 400 транзакций в секунду — и это не DDoS, это обычный пользовательский трафик. Сервисы на TON встали, обновление сети перенесли. По сути разработчики сами признали: инфраструктура строилась в расчёте на нагрузки которые никто не ожидал так быстро достичь. Не первый раз кстати — в 2024 году DOGS точно так же положил сеть на 7+ часов. Урок не выучили.
Домен t.me. Вчера ночью реестр Черногории (компания doMEn) полностью исключил домен t.me из DNS — короткие ссылки перестали открываться в браузерах по всему миру. Причина официально не объявлена. Приложения и десктоп работают нормально — ссылки внутри клиентов кликаются. Но все внешние ссылки на каналы, посты, ботов — в браузере мёртвые. Временный выход — использовать telegram.me вместо t.me.
Два кризиса одновременно — технический и инфраструктурный. И оба бьют по одному и тому же: доверию к экосистеме в момент когда GRAM только что зашёл на Binance и всё должно было быть идеально.
Отдельная ирония: блокчейн который должен был стать "децентрализованной" инфраструктурой Telegram — падает от нагрузки, а домен мессенджера зависит от решения правительства Черногории.

Кто виноват? Bonzo говорит — не мы, наши контракты работали как задумано. Supra говорит — да, наш верификатор принял подпись из нулей, уже пофиксили. Hedera говорит — сеть тут вообще ни при чём.

Суть проблемы не в коде Bonzo и не в Hedera. Оракул принял обновление цены с нулевой подписью вместо валидной от авторизованного комитета. Протокол доверял оракулу — оракул доверял нулям.

According to CryptoQuant analyst JA Maartun, Binance recorded roughly $1.63 trillion in futures trading volume during June, even as Bitcoin continued to trade around the mid-$60,000 range. The analyst said the increase came while many market participants remained cautious and several conditions typically associated with weaker trading were already in place.
🔖 In his market update, JA Maartun pointed to several factors that would normally reduce trading interest. Bitcoin has remained range-bound around the mid-$60,000 level, traders have continued to assess the market cautiously, Europe has been adapting to the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, and the summer holiday period has traditionally brought lower market participation. According to JA Maartun, the jump in futures volume suggests traders are still actively opening and managing positions on the exchange instead of stepping away from leveraged markets during the seasonal lull.
⭐️ The analyst also noted that the gap between cautious market sentiment and elevated derivatives participation deserves attention as traders continue positioning in Binance’s futures market. The consultation followed the approval of U.S. crypto perpetual futures and seeks industry feedback on whether closer coordination between the two agencies could improve risk management, reduce market fragmentation and strengthen consumer protections as crypto derivatives and tokenized financial products expand in the United States.
📌 Robinhood Chain threatens Base as daily transactions surge to 7.6 million
➡️ Robinhood Chain has processed 7.6 million daily transactions just 11 days after its mainnet launch, narrowing the gap with Coinbase’s Base and accelerating competition among Ethereum Layer 2 networks. According to on-chain data shared by MSBIntel and verified by Token Terminal, Robinhood Chain recorded 7.6 million transactions in a single day on July 11, while Base processed 9.2 million over the same period. The figures place Robinhood’s Arbitrum-powered Layer 2 much closer to the leading Ethereum scaling network than many expected so soon after its July 1 launch.
